I know you must have thousands of questions about the sessions, especially if you are a first time mum or dad. I made a short list of the most frequently asked questions to give you an idea of what is going to happen, but if there is anything else you'd like to know, just drop me a message!
If you book a session with me, i will send you a little prep packet with lots of useful informations about a week before our photoshoot.

How do we schedule an exact date for our newborn session?

I really do recommend you book your session soon well in advance of your due date to guarantee my availability. Due to the flexibility required for early and late arrivals I only book a limited number of newborn sessions per month. This ensures that I can capture every new baby within 14 days of birth. All bookings are based on your EDD and the actual date of your session is not confirmed until your little bundle has arrived.

When is the best time to have a maternity session?

A maternity session is best held around 27-35 weeks, when you already have a lovely round baby bump, but still comfortable enough to to move in to poses. It’s never too early to schedule your maternity session. Sometimes I can accommodate last minute requests, but I recommend a 2-3 week notice.

If you would like a weekend appointment it is important to book early as

Saturdays book up well in advance.

Do you provide fabrics/wraps?
Yes. I provide a selection of beautiful maternity gowns as well as sheer and lace fabrics for draping. But you can wear your own clothes as well, i will send you some detailed information on styling

before your session!

Can my partner or my child be in the pictures?
Absolutely! The father of your child and siblings are welcome and encouraged to join.

When is the best time to have a newborns session?

Newborn babies best to photograph in the first two weeks of their life, preferably between 5 and 10 days. Why so early? Because at this age they sleep deeper, don't really mind being unclothed, and are still flexible enough to curl up in those cute little poses how they used to sleep in mummy's tummy.

How long does a newborn photography session take?

Photographing a baby takes time. A newborn session can take up to 4 hours, but it's all worth it if you want to get the most amazing pictures of your little one. I always work around baby's needs, if it's feeding time or there is a nappy needs to be changed, it's fine! No rush.

Where is the session held?

Most of my sessions take place in my little studio in Newport, but can also be done at a chosen outdoor location. When you book your session you can select which one would you prefer.
If you'd like an in home session, please contact me first.

Can we be included in the pictures as well?

Of course! I know not everyone (including me) feel comfortable to step in front of the camera only a few days after giving birth, but those early days pass by in a blink of an eye and it will be great to look back later on how tiny they were in your hands!

What do i need to bring?

You don't really need to bring anything, i have a large selection of props for both boys and girls.

But i am happy to include anything you'd like to see in the pictures, like a blanket or a snuggly toy.

What happens after the photoshoot?

About two to three weeks after your session, you will be invited back for your viewing appointment where your beautifully edited images will be presented.
